Local Credit Union
The Upcher Community Partnership are in the process of a small group of volunteers receiving training from the Credit Union to run a branch of the bank from the Upcher shop in Sheringham.
What is the Norfolk Credit Union Ltd?
- Is a financial co-operative which is owned and democratically controlled by its members and run solely for the benefit of its members.
- Is run by a team of trained volunteers elected by the members.
- New volunteers are always welcome. Full traning provided.
- Is a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, which means that your money is as safe as in any Bank or Building Society.
The Credit Union provides an alternative to high cost lenders such as store cards, credit cards or door step lenders. Loans are available at low cost and no loan is too small.
Easy saving whatever you can afford, save for Christmas, holiday or a special occasion or just for a new peice of furniture. A dividend is paid annually on any savings if there are any surplus profits.
The launch of the Upcher Community Bank will be on Thursday 22nd October at the Upcher shop between 11.00am-3.00pm. All information and appointments will be available from that day from the shop.
