Christmas Lights 2011

The Christmas Lights Switch-On will take place on Saturday 26th November 2011 at 4.30pm. The theme will be winter wonderland and will feature Jack Frost and the Snow Queen.

The Open Door Community Group and Upcher Community Partnership are once again organising the event.

The Town Clock will feature an english wintry scene and events will include a living nativity by the Sheringham Baptist Church accompanied by their youth choir. Other entertainment on the stage will be a taster of this year's pantomime 'Dick Whittington' whose cast will be switching on the Lights and carols by the Salvation Army.

During the day leading up to the main event their will be choirs and bands providing entertainment around the town boosting the shopping experience of our residents and visitors. This will include the sheringham Primary School Choir, the Sheringham & Cromer Brass band, and the Shantymen.

Father Christmas will be appearing at the Town Clock from 3pm on Saturday.

There will be the annual window display competition for the businesses of the town, and a Quiz for the public to show their knowledge of the history of Sheringham.
