Current Action Plan 2012/2013

In order to best reflect the development of the Upcher Community Partnership, we split this section into two - outputs from the partnership as a whole for the area, and the outputs for the projects brought froward by the Partnership and volunteer members.

Outputs fro the Partnership:-

  • Compiled mini health check
  • Volunteers recruited to develop project
  • Links strengthened with town and parish councils
  • Updated Action Plan drawn up
  • All relevant policies now in place
  • Accounts for previous 12 months audited by accountants
  • Jobs vacancy Board available in shop
  • All year round information point
  • Public signposting information point
  • One Stop Shop
  • AIG outreach centre
  • Drop in centre for Horticultural Society information Library
  • Hire of shop for Chamber of Trade meetings, and Norman Lamb MP surgeries, and youth consultation sessions for new skatepark project
  • Local events and Community notice board
  • Police liaison office for SNT plus incident reporting point for public and business community.

 Outputs for projects:-

  • Oddfellows Hall management and moving towards sustainability
  • 'Experience Sheringham' promoting the economic and tourist industry of the area
  • One-Stop-Shop open on Saturdays through July & August from 11am-2pm for greater accessibility for residents and visitors
  • Community Arts Festival, COAST
  • Open Door Community Art Project, continuing to provide workshops for resident sto access and take part in community events such as Carnivla and Christmas Lights.
  • Sheringham Communtiy Sustainability Group, exploring green projects.
  • Local Credit Union
  • Sheringham Smallholding group open to the public.
  • Continue to promote and provide escorted walks to enable the walker to learn more about the environment and heritage of the town and parishes
  • Expand the Art & Sculpture Trail and continue to encourage community input to explore local historical events
  • Provide a printing and photocopying service to the public and business community.

Partnership Development:-

  • Community research
  • Continue to promote the role of the Partnership to the residents and visitors, town and parish councils, of the benefits of becoming a member
  • Attending ongoing stakeholder meetings such as the Town & Parish Area Forums. 
  • to explore external funding avenues
